PASO QUALIFICATION COMMISSION MEETING

On November 11, 2021, a regular meeting of the Qualification Commission of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Samara Region took place.

In the first part of the meeting, the Commission dealt with disciplinary proceedings.

Eleven disciplinary proceedings were considered, five of which were initiated at the request of the court, two at the request of the Directorate of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the Samara Region, and four at the complaints of the principals.

Based on the results of consideration by the Commission:
- four disciplinary proceedings were terminated due to the absence in the actions of lawyers of violations of the legislation on advocacy and the legal profession and (or) the Code of professional ethics of a lawyer;
- one disciplinary proceeding was terminated due to the expiration of the term for the application of disciplinary measures;
- one disciplinary proceeding was terminated due to the withdrawal of the court's appeal;
- in three cases, the actions of lawyers were found to be violations of the legislation on the legal profession and the Code of Professional Ethics of a Lawyer;
- two disciplinary proceedings were postponed for reasons recognized by the Commission as valid.

The measure of disciplinary liability in relation to lawyers, in whose actions the Commission found violations of the legislation on the legal profession and the Code of Professional Ethics of a Lawyer, will be determined by the Council of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Samara Region at a meeting on November 25, 2021.

In the second part of the meeting, the Commission assessed the level of legal knowledge and the availability of professional skills of applicants for the status of a lawyer.

Thirty-one people were admitted to the qualification exam for attorney status.

One - did not cope with the tasks of computer testing, one - was unable to correctly answer the questions of the oral interview on the ticket.

Twenty-nine applicants have successfully passed the qualifying exam.

They are invited to take the oath of office at the meeting of the Council of the Chamber, which will be held on November 25, 2021.

Chairman of the Qualification Commission A.V. Kokin and the members of the commission congratulated the young colleagues on successfully passing the knowledge test and wished them happiness, health and professional success in the legal profession.
