Meeting of the PASO Qualification Commission

09.09.2021 a regular meeting of the Qualification Commission of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Samara Region took place.

The Commission considered twenty-one disciplinary proceedings, three of which were initiated on the basis of court appeals, three - on the complaints of the principals, fifteen - on the basis of the PASO Vice-President's submission on the fact of the lawyers' failure to fulfill the obligation to pay membership fees.

Based on the results of consideration by the Commission:

- one disciplinary proceeding was terminated due to the absence in the actions of the lawyer of violations of the norms of the legislation on advocacy and the legal profession and (or) the Code of Professional Ethics of the Lawyer, the arguments set out in the appeal of the court were recognized as unfounded;

- one disciplinary proceeding was terminated due to the withdrawal of the complaint (presentation, appeal) or the reconciliation of the person who filed the complaint and the lawyer;

- in nineteen cases, the actions of lawyers were found to be violations of the legislation on the Bar and the Code of Professional Ethics of a Lawyer.

The measure of disciplinary liability in relation to lawyers, in whose actions the Commission found violations of the legislation on the legal profession and the Code of Professional Ethics of a Lawyer, will be determined by the Council of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Samara Region at a meeting to be held on September 23, 2021.

Qualification exams were held to acquire the status of a lawyer.

Out of 35 applicants admitted by the Qualification Commission in accordance with Art. 10 Federal Law "On advocacy and the legal profession in the Russian Federation", for passing the qualification exam arrived 28.

The first stage - 26 applicants successfully passed computer testing, five of which scored the maximum number of points - 70.

The second stage - 23 applicants passed the oral interview.

Applicants who have successfully passed the qualification exam are invited to the meeting of the Council of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Samara Region, which will take place on September 23, 2021, to take the oath.

Chairman of the Qualification Commission A.V. Kokin and the members of the commission noted the high level of training of applicants who attended classes at the School of a Young Lawyer of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Samara Region.
