100 years of the Samara Regional Bar Association

On October 12, 2022, the largest bar association in the Samara region will turn 100 years old.

Article 1 of the Statute of the Bar Association reads: “The Samara Regional Bar Association, formed and operating in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, is a board uniting persons engaged in professional advocacy in the Samara Region. The Board was formed by the Decision of the Gubernia Executive Committee of October 12, 1922 No. 39.

To date, the number of SOKA is 439 lawyers.

On March 31, 2022, the general annual meeting of the members of the regional collegium was held.

The traditional questions about the report on the work of the SOKA Presidium and the implementation of the income and expenditure estimates for the previous year were considered, and the estimate for the next year was approved.

The meeting elected delegates to the XXII annual reporting and election conference of the Chamber of Advocates of the Samara Region, which will be held on May 26, 2022.

The Regional Bar Association will be represented by 86 delegates at the Conference of the Chamber - this is a significant representation in the formation of bodies of advocate self-government.

The Chamber of Advocates of the Samara Region is also celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
