Meeting of the PASO Qualification Commission

On August 12, 2021, a meeting of the Qualification Commission of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Samara Region was held.

The Commission considered twelve disciplinary proceedings, six of which were initiated upon the request of the court, three - upon the proposal of the Vice-President of PASO, three - upon the complaints of the principals.

Based on the results of consideration by the Commission:
- one disciplinary proceeding was terminated due to the proper provision of legal assistance by the attorney, the principal's claims were recognized as unfounded;
- two disciplinary proceedings were postponed for reasons recognized by the Commission as valid;
- in nine cases, the actions of lawyers were found to be violations of the legislation on the Bar and the Code of Professional Ethics of a Lawyer.

The measure of disciplinary liability in relation to lawyers in whose actions the composition of disciplinary offenses is determined will be determined by the Council of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Samara Region at a meeting that will be held on August 26, 2021.

The commission considered the issue of admission to the qualification exam of applicants for acquiring the status of a lawyer, based on the results of which a decision was made on admission in accordance with Art. 10 of the Law "On advocacy and the legal profession in the Russian Federation" 35 applicants.
