Exam at the PASO Young Lawyer School

Exam at the PASO Young Lawyer School

25.01.2021

On December 21, an internal midterm exam was held at the PASO Young Lawyer School. Despite the fact that this year the School is working remotely, the exam was held in person in the PASO meeting room in compliance with all anti-epidemiological measures.

The internal exam was taken by 17 students.

By tradition, he was received by PASO President Tatyana Dmitrievna Butovchenko, Chairman of the Qualification Commission A.V. Kokin, heads of the School of Young Lawyer A.M. Izosimov. and Ivanova T.D.

During their studies at the School of a Young Lawyer, students pass internal exams twice: intermediate - when half of the educational cycle is over, and graduation. In both cases, the exam fully reproduces the content and atmosphere of the bar exam. This allows the students of the School to approach the qualifying exam better prepared, both psychologically and in the quality of knowledge, as it gives an understanding of the level of their own preparation and the gaps that need to be eliminated. Year after year, the PASO Qualification Commission has consistently noted the high level of applicants who have completed training at the School of Young Lawyers.

This requires a lot of work within the School and the efforts of the students themselves. The ability to pass the exam brilliantly does not come to students immediately, and intermediate exams clearly testify to this. This time, the commission noted that, in general, the level of future applicants for the status of a lawyer in the internal exam was lower than in previous years. The consequences of the distance learning format in 2020, which became the year of total distance learning in all spheres of life, were obvious. There is no doubt that even the most advanced Internet technologies cannot completely replace live face-to-face communication. Schoolchildren, students and trainees of the School of the Young Lawyer faced this problem.

Everyone passed the internal exam.

At the same time, both the members of the commission and the audience had an absolute understanding that applicants were far from being ready for the qualifying exam, and everyone had a lot of work to do. The hope was expressed that the learning process will again become full-time - this has become the main wish of teachers and students in the coming 2021.
