Meeting of the PASO Qualification Commission 10/15/2020

The commission examined 33 registered cases of applicants who applied for admission to the qualification exam for acquiring the status of a lawyer. All applicants for the status are admitted to the qualification exam, which will be held on November 12.

The Commission considered 41 disciplinary proceedings, 27 of which were initiated on the basis of the Vice President's submissions on non-payment of membership fees, as well as on the grounds of failure to comply with the Professional Training and Professional Development Standard for lawyers.

Before the start of the proceedings, 10 lawyers and applicants registered to participate in the consideration of cases.

Based on the results of the meeting:
- in 35 cases, violations of the legislation on the Bar and the Code of Professional Ethics of a Lawyer were found;
- 2 disciplinary proceedings were terminated due to the proper provision of legal assistance, the claims of the applicants were recognized as unfounded;
- 4 cases were postponed to collect additional evidence.

In the cases identified, the disciplinary measure will be determined by the Council of the Chamber of Advocates of the Samara Region at a meeting to be held on October 29, 2020.
