Meeting of CC PASO 10.12.2020

On December 10, 2020, the final meeting of the Qualification Commission of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Samara Region was held in this eventful year.

Despite the pre-New Year mood of the members of the Commission, the work, as always, went smoothly and constructively.

The commission considered seven disciplinary proceedings.

Based on the results of consideration by the Commission:
- in five cases of disciplinary proceedings, violations of the legislation on the Bar and the Code of Professional Ethics of a Lawyer were found;
- two disciplinary proceedings were postponed for reasons recognized by the Commission as valid (illness of a lawyer in one case and the need to present additional evidence in another).

The measure of disciplinary liability in relation to lawyers, in whose actions the Commission found violations of the legislation on the legal profession and the Code of Professional Ethics of a Lawyer, will be determined by the Council of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Samara Region at a meeting to be held on December 17, 2020.

The Chairman of the Commission summed up the first results of the joint work of the Commission in a new composition, noted the need to develop the formation of disciplinary practice on the so-called "systemic" issues, proposed directions for organizing the activities of the Commission for the next year.
