Election of delegates to the XXII PASO Conference

The Chamber of Advocates of the Samara Region has begun to form participants for the XXII Regular Annual Reporting and Election Conference of Advocates, which will be held on May 26, 2022.

The total number of PASO lawyers is 1847, with active status - 1727.

The representation rate is determined by the Council 1:5 and has not changed since the establishment of the Chamber of Lawyers.

345 delegates will be elected to participate in the conference.

On March 17, in the Chamber of Advocates of the Samara Region, a meeting of small bar associations was held to elect delegates.

120 lawyers had to be elected, since in PASO there are 481 lawyers' offices and 119 lawyers operating in collegiums and bureaus of less than 5 lawyers.

PASO President T.D. Butovchenko briefly reported to the colleagues present on the activities of the Council and the Qualification Commission over the past two years after the previous formation of lawyers' self-government bodies.

It was reported about the submitted applications of lawyers wishing to run for the new composition of the Council and the Commission.

Since the number of those wishing to be elected was greater than the number required for the rotation of the Council and joining the Commission, those present were informed about the order of rating voting.

It is planned that during the conference, delegates will vote online in compliance with the procedure for secret voting.

As a result of today's voting, 120 delegates were elected.

The next step is to receive protocols on the election of delegates from boards and bureaus with more than five members.

The largest legal entity, the Samara Regional Bar Association with 436 members, will hold a general assembly on the election of delegates on March 31, where 87 delegates will be elected.
