The winners of the Oratory Competition among trainees and young lawyers have been announced.

The Samara Region Bar Association held an oratory competition today! The topic is more relevant than ever for the modern legal profession: "Forming a Lawyer's Professional Reputation."

Seventeen talented participants delivered compelling speeches on the most important aspects of maintaining and strengthening trust in the profession. The oral presentations were limited to just five minutes, but during this time, the participants managed to address pressing and relevant issues in the following areas:
• Acceptable and unacceptable methods of posting information about oneself and attracting clients.
• Limits of what is permissible when lawyers interact with the press.
• Ethics of lawyer behavior on social media.
• ​​How does behavior toward procedural opponents, pretrial investigation bodies, and the court shape a lawyer's reputation?

The presentations were evaluated by a competent jury consisting of:
• Tatyana Dmitrievna Butovchenko, President of the Samara Region Bar Association
• Aleksey Valerievich Kokin, Chair of the Qualification Commission of the Samara Region Bar Association
• Elena Vladimirovna Salnikova, Assistant to the President of the Samara Region Bar Association

The evaluation criteria were strict: depth of coverage of the topic, logical structure and clarity of argumentation, use of rhetorical and persuasive skills, and, of course, the quality of the presentation!

The high level of performance skills of the participants significantly complicated the jury's task of choosing the winner.

First place was shared by the following attorneys:
- Andrey Andreevich Naumov (attorney)
- Vladislav Dmitrievich Fedoseenko (attorney)

Second place was taken by:
- Ilya Mikhailovich Kashernikov (School of Young Lawyers student)
- Alla Mikhailovna Tretyakova (attorney)

Third place went to Alexander Dmitrievich Petrukhin, a student of the School of Young Lawyers.

Congratulations to the winners and all participants on their brilliant performances! This competition once again proved that the Samara Region Bar Association is a community of professionals striving for excellence and recognizing the importance of an impeccable reputation!
