PASO young lawyers accepted the challenge and demonstrated their capabilities

The defense position presented at the interregional competition by Samara participants was recognized as the strongest.

Delegates of the Chamber of Advocates of the Samara Region took an active part in the interregional forum "Young Advocate in Russia: Challenges, Opportunities and Prospects", which was held in Perm on September 14-15, 2023.

The organizers of the event - the Chamber of Advocates of the Perm Region, the Federal Chamber of Advocates of the Russian Federation, the Union of Young Advocates of Russia - invited not only young colleagues from all regions of the country, but also the judicial community, representatives of the prosecutor's office, scientists, practicing lawyers of the Perm Region.

The Chamber of Advocates of the Samara Region warmly supported the initiative of colleagues and sent its delegates.

On the first day of the forum, guests were introduced to the city and met with the architect-restorer Gennady Vozhzhenikov, who revealed fascinating facts from the history of Perm.

On September 15, a scientific and practical conference was held at the Perm State National Research University, where organizational issues of advocacy and current problems of criminal proceedings were discussed. In the online format, the forum participants were greeted by the President of the FPA RF Svetlana Volodina, who assured young colleagues that their voices are heard by the entire bar of the country.

The participants were addressed remotely with video addresses by Nikolai Kipnis, member of the FPA RF Commission on Ethics and Standards, Evgeny Rubinstein, adviser to the FPA RF, and Dmitry Taraborin, deputy chairman of the Commission of the Council of the FPA RF on the Protection of the Rights of Advocates, vice-president of PASO, who spoke about the specifics of the work of an attorney when considering cases in a jury trial.

As part of the forum, a competition "Position of the Defense" was held, the participants of which were asked to analyze the plot of a criminal case and present the position of the defense. Based on the results of the competition, among more than a hundred participants from 17 regional bar associations, the professional jury singled out the attorneys of the Ulyanovsk and Samara regions.

First place was awarded to a lawyer from Ulyanovsk.

Diplomas for second and third place were received by PASO lawyers Alexandra Karnomazova and Maxim Isaev, whose defense positions were recognized as the strongest. Congratulations to our young colleagues on their victory and well-deserved awards!

According to Oksana Sergeeva, Executive Director of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers of the Russian Federation, who summed up the results of the event, it is very important for the bar to have its ranks replenished with highly professional lawyers who care about the fate of the corporation and who value its traditions.

The forum brought together caring, energetic young lawyers who strive to adopt the subtleties of professional skill, filling the public life of the community with new ideas, projects and plans.
